Welcome to a fairy tale reception at the City Hall

The famous fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen was made an honorary Citizen of the city of Odense in 1867. It was one of the high points of his career. There was a torch-lit procession and the city held a banquet for 240 guests in his honour.

The city of Odense invites participants at the 12th European Congress of Neuropathology to attend a reception at the city hall - in the same rooms where Hans Christian Andersen was hailed.

The guests will be enchanted by the Hans Christian Andersen Parade. For more than a 100 years children of all ages around the World have enjoyed the fairy tales of H.C. Andersen such as "The Emperor's New Clothes", "The Little Mermaid", The Nightingale", "The Snow Queen", "The Ugly Duckling", "Thumbelina" and many more.

Enjoy a spectacular show where all the known fairy tales will come to life!
